Northland Plastics is a manufacturer of high-quality custom plastic profile extrusions. Since our founding in 1953, we have developed over 3,900 different extruded profiles. We extrude a wide range of thermoplastic compounds, including ABS, High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS), Polyethylene, Polypropylene, PVC, PETG, Noryl, TPEs, TPOs, TPUs, and many others.
Our capabilities include running large and small volume jobs that specialize in single and dual durometer profile extrusions, vacuum calibration, automated inline fabrication, custom fabrication, Mylar film application, embossing, inline taping, printing, special packaging, assembly, and more. No matter what your application requires, our team will do the necessary research to determine the appropriate compound and configuration. All of our extruded products can be made from our variety of over 200 colors to meet your specific needs. Our colors range from earth tones to fluorescents, opaque, translucent, and metallic. If we can’t find the right color from our inventory, we can develop custom colors to specifically match your requirements. In addition to standard and custom colors, we offer specialty additives to enhance impact strength and protection for applications both interior and exterior. We can add fillers, flame retardants, anti-static, slip/anti slip agents, antifungal, and many other additives.
We are a small, privately held corporation that is customer-driven. Our size allows us to make quick decisions and unique solutions that are tailor-made for our customers. It is our goal every day to set and establish standards for the custom extrusion business pertaining to design, quality, service, and delivery.
Plastic Fabrication Power Pages
Perforated Plastic Sheet
Perforated plastic sheets consist of various thicknesses of plastic punctured with holes in different shapes and sizes. These types of perforated plastics exhibit heat, impact, and chemical resistance, as well as being lightweight and insulated for straightforward installation...
Plastic Fabrication
Plastic fabrication is the process of designing, manufacturing, and assembling a product made out of plastic material or composites that contain plastic. There are numerous plastic fabrication methods known today, considering the wide variety of products made out of plastic...
What are Plastic Washers?
Plastic washers are discs with a hole in their center that are used to distribute the load of a fastener. They are a simple component that ensures stability, reduces friction, fit tightly, and provide insulation. As with all forms of washers, plastic washers are think...
Plastic Materials
Plastic materials are objects artificially made from organic compounds called polymers along with other additive components. They possess excellent formability, making them extremely versatile for many different fabrication and manufacturing processes...
Blow Molding
Blow molding is a type of plastic forming process for creating hollow plastic products made from thermoplastic materials. The process involves heating and inflating a plastic tube known as a parison or preform. The parison is placed between two dies that contain the desired shape of the product...
Plastic Extrusion
Plastic extrusion, also known as plasticating extrusion, is a continuous high volume manufacturing process in which a thermoplastic material -- in a form of powder, pellets or granulates -- is homogeneously melted and then forced out of the shaping die by means of pressure...
Rotational Molding
Rotational molding, commonly referred to as "rotomolding", is a plastic casting technique used to produce hollow, seamless, and double-walled parts. It uses a hollow mold tool wherein the thermoplastic powdered resin is heated while being rotated and cooled to solidify...
Plastic Channel
Plastic channels are plastic products that have linear extruded profiles. They have a constant cross-sectional shape across their axis. They are long and narrow structures, and their depth is relatively short. These products serve a variety of functions and uses...
Plastic Tanks
A plastic tank is a large capacity liquid or granular storage unit that can be vertical, horizontal, below or above ground, and permanent in place or movable. They are designed to hold several gallons of a variety of substances...
